Out Sick

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Will hopefully be back to blogging later in the week with a round up of BEA and other stuff. In the mean time, if you need your Emma fix, Tempting Fate releases TODAY from Liquid Silver Books!! (I’m not sure what time their new releases go up so you may have to keep checking back!)

Woo Hoo!

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

Yesterday I got home from my outing (sorry, haven’t uploaded charry blossom pics yet so you’ll have to wait) to find a contract in my inbox from Liquid Silver Books for my second Fate book, Loving Fate!

Woo Hoo!

Now I’ve really got to get my butt in gear and writing the third one! I laid in bed for a long time this morning working it out in my head and now I think I have an idea of where I’m going with it.

It’s very odd, the first two books are light and funny and sexy, but they both skirt the periphery of some pretty deep subject matter. So I’ve been having some issues trying to figure out what book 3 (already titled Fighting Fate) is going to deal with. But I think I got it - unfortunatly it’s going to require some *gasp* research. Nooooooo!!!

So, I’m both super excited and rather nervous about writing it all at the same time.

Okay, your turn…share your good news!

Can’t blog…editing.

All about me

Wednesday, March 1st, 2006

I really hate blogs that have a ton of promo type posts so I try not to do too much of that here, but well, I’m going to today.

Just a warning so if you want, you can leave now.

Little Red releases today from WCPT!!!

When Little Red Riding Hood headed into the forest on the way to her Grandmother’s house, she met the big bad wolf and almost met a very untimely end.

When Scarlet Hood gets lost on the way to her Grandmother’s house, she gets way more than she ever expected in the form of her sexy savior, Tyler Carver.

Tyler may be the big bad wolf, but Scarlet discovers that when it comes to pleasure, he’s actually very, very good.

I’ve made it easy for you and you can just click on the cover to be taken to the “buy” page.

AND…

I also got my first review for One Hot Hour.

5 Angels from Shayley at FAR.

She said…

“Emma Sinclair instantly grabs the attention with the desires of a woman and the sexy man she spies outside her window. Erin is a passionate woman that needs a jump start in the passion department. Joe is a supervisor of a team of construction workers that takes care of business and taking care of business is something that he prides himself in. It is a good thing there is a new air conditioner because Joe eludes pure heat that flames Erin’s desire. The chemistry between Joe and Erin is playful yet driven and offers readers a tantalizing afternoon of sizzling heat. One Hot Hour has earned 5 Angels for its hot, hot, hot passion and beautiful romance!”

Yay!

AND…

I’ll be chatting at the Love Romances Ebook club tomorrow (3/2) as part of a month of Venus Press Authors.

Stop by and say Hi if you’re around!

Super Duper Exciting Venus Press Day!!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

First, my first VP release came out today: One Hot Hour

One Hot Hour is one of my most favorite-ist books (yes, I’m a writer, wanna make something of it?)!! It’s short and not so sweet. And I LOVE my beautiful cover.

Wanna blurb? OK.

Erin is a lonely stay-at-home mom stuck with nowhere to go during a heat wave. But when she invites a sexy construction worker into her bedroom to install her new air conditioner things only get hotter.

Yay me!!

And in other Super Duper Exciting Venus Press Day News, the contract is in the mail for my second VP story!!! Yay again.

This one is full length (eek, those make me nervous) and it’s called Secret Agent Man. What? You say you’d like a blurb for this one, too? Well, okay.

Catherine “Cat” Mason has always thought that all of her problems would be solved if she could just find the father she’s never known. Sam O’Neill’s job has one rule - no complications. Unfortunately Cat has “complication” written all over her.

Now, the two of them are on a mission to not only save Cat’s father’s live, but also their own. And then there’s that pesky little lust thing that keeps getting in the way…

If you need me today, I’ll just be happy dancing around!!!

Shameless Bragging

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

Well, maybe I feel a little shame…wait…nope, no shame at all.

First, (and this isnt’ a brag) can you beleive I forgot to blog yesterday because I was procrastinating?!?!? I could understand if I had written a bunch of pages or something, but nope, a couple of lines, that’s it.

Anyway, onto the bragging…

I’m #1!!!

Really, I am. Check it out here.

Annnnd, not only am I #1, but A Walk on the Wild Side is the Febuary Sizzler at WCPT. What does that mean, you ask? It means, if you buy A Walk on the Wild Side (which is ALSO on sale) you get a free Torrid ebook of your choice!!

Personally I’ve really been looking forward to Tilly Greene’s Come Sweet Creature, but I haven’t had a chance to check out the other new releases yet. Too busy bragging you know. All of the books in the top 10 are great! I’m especially fond of Winter Wishes, too. Edited to say: All of the New Releases look fabulous. It’s going to be hard to support my book buying habit this month.

So, go forth and read. Preferably my book!

Writer Interrupted

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

My write all week wiht nothing else to do got inturrupted this morning when I got edits for my Spring Fling Story.

I haven’t looked at them yet, but it’s a short story so they can’t be too bad, right? Right?

I think the most time intensive thing is going to be coming up with a new name. It seems as if they only want one story per book with Spring in the title (makes sense, otherwise it gets confusing). So can anyone think of a story title about Spring Break that doesn’t have the words Spring in it?

Yeah, I can’t yet.

If you’re around this evening looking for something to do, there’s a Whiskey Creek Torrid Chat at the FAR Chatroom this evening at 9:00pmEST. I’ll be there (assuming I remember) so hope to see you there, too.

Finally time to Share…

Saturday, January 14th, 2006

Got my contract and now I can tell you - I sold a novella to Liquid Silver Books!

Now, I know that doesn’t sound like much, but it’s the first of a trilogy so hopefully they’ll want the other two also (you know, once I edit one and write the other).

The soty is called Tempting Fate and it’s the first in a series about the Moirai sisters (aka The Three Fates).

This is Chloe’s (Clothos’s) Story. Here’s a bit of a blurb to wet your appetite. It’s the blurb I used in my query and it’s actually not very good so I’m surprised it garnered any interest at all.

Clothos Moirai, Chloe, is tired of spending all her time on Mount
Olympus. She’s ready for a vacation to the one place she’s never
been. Earth.

Tanner Danner has spent his life at the bottom of a liquor bottle
since the gruesome murder of his mother.

But when Chloe shows up at the Inn he’s running, they’ll both find
that Tempting Fate has never been so good.

They say to expect about four months for publication so I’m looking at May-ish I’d guess.
