So, I really feel like I haven’t been around much lately. Away, home for two days, away again, home for another two days, and yep, you guessed it…away again. Because of that I’ve decided to break todays TT up into segments so you can see just how crazy things have been lately.

Release Day

Monday, May 28th, 2007

So, I came back from my trip last week to find out that A Wolf’s Eyes is releasing TODAY!!!

Liquid Silver doesn’t release their books until around 5-6ish but the cover is a link to the LSB page. I’ll try to update here when it’s released.

Until then, a blurb to whet your appetitie…

Plain Jane Applebottom is an almost thirty-year-old virgin. There may not be an actual barrier there, but the only experience she’s had came from books and a few ice cream induced fantasies. She fills her life running the bookstore left her by her father, but she dreams of a man who will appreciate her generous curves and generous heart.

Donovan “Van” Wolfe is a werewolf who doesn’t like people. People lead to caring which, in his experience, can only lead to hurt. But there’s something about Jane, with her innocence and skepticism, and he’s determined to show her just how sexy and irresistible he finds her.

When their romantic evening is shattered by an attempt on their lives, Van and Jane run for shelter to Van’s fortified home. Stranded there with Van’s younger brother, Aiden, and his best friend, a beautiful vampire named Kalista, they are surrounded by danger while Aiden and Kali work desperately to discover who instigated the hit that may cost them their lives. Not knowing who to trust, they cling to each other and embark on a sexual journey that entwines them mind, body and heart.

Still more cruise pictures

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

It was hot at the ruins. Really hot. Still, they were totally cool and it was really neat to think that thousands of years ago there was a bustling civilization.

I came home of lots of pictures of lizards.

The Caribbean. No pirates. Which is probably a good thing after seeing POTC 3. I might have tried to mutany or something. Total aside, but my friends neice calls it Pirates of the Carrots and Beans.

Flower, lizard and ruins, oh my!

Our feet on the boat and churning water 9 stories down.

I should be back to regular blogging tomorrow (though my week doesn’t look pretty). Hope everyone that has a long weekend has a great one!

More cruise pictures

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

We saw Pirates of the Caribbean last night. It was…eh.

Definitely better than the second one but that’s not saying much considering I wanted to poke my eyes out after watching the second one. This one seemed really bloody and gorey to me. And lots of dying. Too much for my liking.

I mean, this is most certainly not a kids movie.

A lot of people in the theater didn’t like the ending, but that was one of the things I actually did like. I mean, it wasn’t perfect, but too much had happened for it to end any other way. I know it’s going to make a lot of people mad, and the filmmakers had to know that too, still, I applaud them for the decision they made.

And as always, sit through the end of the credits!

Now, more pictures.

Fancy shoes. Mine are the leopard print ones. I realize I’m a little patterned challenged in the dress but I didn’t care ’cause I really love those shoes.

Chocolate buffet. Yummy!

This is a beach in Mexico. Looks really inviting, doesn’t it?

Feet in a hammock.

Apparently in Mexico I’m mma.

I’m off to the grandfather-in-laws 90th birthday party but more pictures are scheduled to post tomorrow!

Pictures!

Friday, May 25th, 2007

Okay, so I promised pictures of my trip. I’ll probably have a few over the next couple of days. Tonight I’m making the hubby take me to see Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tomorrow we’re picking up my brother in lawand then heading off to NJ for the evening and then on Sunday we’ll head off to Philadelphia for my Grandfather-in-laws 90th birthday party.

Monday we’re going to a Memorial Day barbeque at the hubby’s bosses house.

All in all, a busy weekend. But for now…pictures!!!

Leaving Ft. Lauderdale from out room.

Sunrise over Key West

This is where we went snorkling. It’s a lighthouse on a reef about 7 miles out from Key West.

For the whole trip, we took pictures of our feet in various locations. Here’s our feet in flippers. Mine are the ones with red toe nails and you can’t tell from the picture, but the flippers I was wearing were the biggest ones they had (like a mens size 13 or something). I could have fit both feet in one flipper.

I’ll post more pictures over the next few days. So, what’s everyone else doing for the weekend?

Thirteen things I did on my trip

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

Pictures from my trip are taking FOREVER to upload. I was planning a Thursday Thirteen of photos from my trip, but instead I’ll go with Thirteen things that happened on my trip. Pictures will be coming soon though. I promise.

Thirteen things I did on my trip

1. Fit three women in a tiny cruise ship state room with all of our clothes, toiletries and a million pairs of shoes. And we didn’t fight at all.

2. Watched crazy lightening while floating in the middle of the ocean on a tin can.

3. Watched the sun rise in Key West. Not necessarily because I wanted to, but because I was awake.

4. Snorkled off of Key West. Saw…fish. Drank way too much sea water.

5. Ate offical Key Lime Pie in Key West.

6. Didn’t get seasick on a ferry ride from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. Anytime you walk onto a boat and see trashcans laying all around for puking, you know you’re in for a rough ride.

7. Visited Mayan ruins. I stood in the same place where people stood in 2500 years ago. Pretty cool to think about.

8. Saw lots of cool lizards. Got chased by one. Apparently he wasn’t in the mood for being looked at and he…charged. I ran away.

9. We took pictures of our feet at all the cool locations - on the boat, in our snorkel fins, at the ruins, etc.

10. Ate four different kinds of fruit soup. Watermelon, Pear, Strawberry and Berry. Yeah, fruit soup is mostly just slightly thicker fruit juice.

11. Ate chocolate at midnight. Any trip where you get chocolate at midnight is a good trip.

12. Got serenated by our waiters during dinner.

13. Barely got sunburned. That’s impressive for me!! Of course, I sit in the shade, wear a hat and high SPF sunscreen. Still, usually I get burned.

I’m back…

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Hundreds of emails to read, boards to check, but I’m back.

The cruise was great - will try to post pictures in the next couple of days.

I got home last night and slept for 12 hours. Today is catch-up day and I hope to be back to normal tomorrow.

But this is me for the next little bit:

On Vacation…

Be back in a week.

My bed was so comfortable this morning I didn’t want to get out of it. So I just layed there an extra long time.

It was nice and cozy.

Today I have to try to get some work done and then pack (actually most everything is packed except the stuff I’ll actually need tomorrow morning).

I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to scheduel so blog posts to post while I’m gone. I’m thinking no, so the blog gets another vacation.

Isn’t that a great word? Vacation!!

If I ever go on Inside the Actors Studio and James Liption asks me what my favorit word is, it’s definitely Vacation.

So, aside from my girls cruise this weekend (which, by the way, since people asked, is me and 2 of my college roommates and we leave from Ft. Lauderdale and hit Key West and Cozumel) the only other vacation we have this summer is maybe at the end of the month we might go visit the BIL and SIL in Norfolk (he’s in the Navy and his ship is having a family cruise).

Do you have a summer vacation planned? Looking forward to it or dreading it?
