I was asked to join a bookclub. It’s a bunch of wives/girlfriends of guys that work with the hubster.

Last night was my first one.

It was fun.

I may have said this before, but I’m not so great with people in person. I’m much more comfortable online. So, needless to say, I was pretty darn nervous.

But, I took my “make friends” brownies, and went prepared to discuss The Unbearable Lightness of Being. It was…odd. Not a great fun read but a really good book for discussing.

Of course, like most book clubs I’ve heard of, there’s not ONLY talking about the book. A woman was there with her 9 week old baby so there was lots of baby/kid talk. And some dog talk.

Still, I had a really good time and am pretty excited that I stepped out of my comfort zone and met some new people.

But I’m glad that I get to stay home alone in my jammies today. It’s much more comfortable for me.
