Google Earth

So, our new thing here at Chez Emma is playing with Google Earth.

I have a Mac, and when it was first out, they didn’t have Google Earth for Macs. And the hubsters computer was so ancient that it wouldn’t work on there. But now that he has a new computer, we can play.

It’s totally the coolest thing ever.

You can fly around the world and look at all sorts of places. Disney World is really fun to look at, as is Sea World. I’m pretty sure you could make out a whale in the water at Sea World San Diego (or it could have just been a shadow).

I think I’ve visited every place I’ve ever visited in person via Google Earth. It’s totally addicting.

And then I like to tell myself that it’s great for research. You know, if I need to get the feel of the terrain of a place?!?!

Have you ever played with Google Earth? Any places to suggest that I look at?

I LOVE Google Earth!! We’ve used it on various engineering projects to see the job site. Some cool things I’ve looked at are ground zero in New York, and the pyramids.
Just now made me wonder if they have a recent satellite of New Orleans after Katrina…
Have a good week on blog hiatus!!
