PMS
I apologize if that’s too much info, but holy CRAP did I feel icky earlier this week. And then yesterday, I was like a whole differen’t person.
I got a TON of writing done (well, okay not a ton but over 2000 words which is good considering Wednesday was 200). The Hubster was actually wondering what I ate and how many cups of coffee I’d had ’cause I was so overexcitable last night.
I’m hoping that the fast writing carries on to today because I might actually finish this novella.
I did do something that I’ve never done before. I skipped a love scene!
Normally I don’t do that because I don’t know, until I write it, how the sex is going to affect the characters. But this scene, I know what it needs to accomplish, and the characters are well on their way. I was having trouble finding the right words though so I skipped it. And I’m totally flying towards the end now.
Of course I’ll have to go back and fill in the love scene but that should be much easier with my newfound hyperness.
So, I’m writing smut today, what are you doing?

I read an article yesterday –an interview with Zane and she, too, skips lovescenes. I did this in my last Ms. so don’t feel bad LOL
I’m rereading something and the boss is back in town so my playtime is very limited today :(

Oh I skip scenes (including love scenes) all the time; but then again I’m a really messy organic writer.
What am I doing now? Trying to get back into the writing mode :) I’m like trapped between 3 unfinished projects and I can’t decide which one I should be working on now…

I also skip love scenes, or just bare-bones them and go back and flesh them out later.
I’ve been feeling completely discombobulated by various pressures and thus have still written nothing this week. Except blog posts. I’ve got this Diva’s Ebook Challenge thing coming up and NOTHING yet. Someone tell me what to write!

I’ve skipped them before, but I try not to do it very much. Just like you said, the after effects of sex really play a key part in the plot, etc.
That’s great about the writing/word count! :)

I did that for the first time this week too! It actually felt like a good thing to do because I didn’t have time to get into the emotions of it and I wanted to get onto another part of the story. Seem to work out OK.
