This is kind of a continuation of my last post.

We went to Borders yesterday - had about $75 in gift cards so I was ready to have some fun. What did I come home with?

Nothing.

Not a damn thing (well, I did get something, but it’s actually too embarassing to post about so we’ll just pretend it doesn’t exist - and it wasn’t a book anyway).

I don’t know what my problem is with paranormals lately. I think I just OD’d on them and now they’re just not really keeping my attention (though Cat, I did already read My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding - while I liked it, that firmed my resolve to not read any more paranormals for awhile).

Another thing I don’t want right now is a book that’s part of a series.

Do you know how many books that leaves in the romance section? Not a whole hell of a lot!!!

When did everything become either parnormal or book 8 of 56?

It’s weird, there are a ton of books that I’m interested in reading, but NOTHING is passing the first few pages test.

So, I have Aussie Rules by Jill Shalvis that I got for Xmas, and then it’s looking like I might be going on a sabattical from romance. I should slog my way through Bulfinche’s Mythology in the next year or two.

BTW, I’ve started a new “books read this year” list over on the sidebar if anyone’s interested. Not too much there yet, but it is only the 6th of January.

So, what’s everybody else reading?
