Heaven
Once a year heaven arrives in my local grocery store and it comes in a cardboard carton.
Christmas is the time of peppermint ice cream.
I looked for it when I did my Thanksgiving shopping, but couldn’t find it. Luckily we decided to make some more food though andn went to the grocery store Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
I admit it, I let out a shreik of glee when I saw the peppermint ice cream.
It goes perfectly with homemade apple pie.
Of course, something else that goes well with pie is more pie.
What’s your favorite indulgence this time of year? It doesn’t have to be food, but well, my indulgences are always food! Have you ever had the yummy perfection that is peppermint ice cream?

Wow, those pies look yummy! My favorite indulgence is anything baked, especially cookies with coffee so I can dunk them.

I haven’t had peppermint ice cream. I must go look for it. My holiday indulgences? Grandma’s sugar cookies and Gingerbread lattes from Starbucks. Ooooh yeah…..

Wow the pies look yummy! It sounds like you had a great thanksgiving! My indulgence… food for sure… that goes without saying for me *grin*. And it doesn’t have to be any one sort… I just LOVE food! But on the other end, reading a great book! Have a great week!

Cece, can I just say I hate you!? Braum’s is THE ONE thing I really miss about Oklahoma. German chocolate shake, yum… Can’t get that anywhere else.
But I do love peppermint ice cream, too, Emma. Santa shakes are wonderful — just splash in some eggnog and a little milk. Mmmmmm… I love Christmas. :D

Ohhhhh not peppermint…yuck! LOL Chocolate I think, but that’s an all year indulgence! LOL

PS: On my way to work yesterday, I saw a house that resembled one you described to us! It had inflatable EVERYTHING, I instantly thought of you! LOL Gonna see if I can snap pics and figure how to up load them for you!

Robin if it’s any consolation the doctor has ordered me to give up sugar–so no peppermint ice cream for me :(
