Almost over…
November that is. And even more importantly, the stuff I have to do in November.
Today I’m off to Starbucks to hopefully (probably not) finish revisons for my novella due the end of the month. And then, one more email and that’s it!!
Then all of my goals for November will have been accomplished.
Well, except for the guests, Thanksgiving dinner, putting up the Xmas decorations…
Ok, maybe it’s not close to being over.
Anyway…how do you look at and organize your goals?
Me, I tend to go by month (obviously). It’s a long enough period of time that I don’t feel too incredibly stressed, and then if necessary it has several different ways to break it down time wise (week, day, weekend, etc).
It works for me.
And then I have one HUGE masterlist for all I have to get accomplished that month. And as I do it all, I write it down on my desk calendar and check it off.
(I’m also a bit of a nerd and like to try to track my productivity. Tuesday and Thursdays are usually my best days with a huge spike in accomplishments if I go to Starbucks).
What about you? How do you keep yourself organized and on track?
UPDATE: I haven’t seen it with my own two eyes yet, but according to the hubster, the crazy Halloween house now has a giant blow up turkey!

I can’t get anything done this month. I feel horrible about it, but for some reason my house is a mess, decorations need to be put up, have to go to the grocery store for Thanksgiving…ugh!

I use a calendar to remind me of deadlines and things, but really I’m terribly disorganised and tend to be scribbling away madly just before the book is due in. I give myself a personal deadline a week or two before the one I’ve agreed with my editor. I usually go over it, but I don’t yell at myself too much for it.

You just impress the socks off me, Emma! And make me feel like the totally disorganized loser that I am. :D I keep a calendar that I forget to check at key moments. I have five million things to do this month, and I’ll wind up squeezing them all in at THE LAST possible moment, and I’ll be crabby while I do it, wishing I’d gotten my rear in gear sooner. Such is the life of a procrastinator.

Is it weird that I have the urge to stick a pin in that turkey? It just looks like it would pop so nicely!!

LOL…we have a guy down here that we call the Cool Christmas Guy. His yard is all blow-ups and lights!
I have a calendar I write my daily word count on (uh, when I actually write that is )
Have a great thanksgiving!

OMG!!! Giant blow up turkey! You have to send us a pic of the house at Christmas!!!
As for organization…I don’t have any…I tend to do things as they come. Probably not a great way to accomplish my goals, but as of now it works.
Happy Thanksgiving!
With Love,

Of course they have a giant blow up turkey! LOL Can’t wait to hear about this place at Christmas.
Um, organized? What’s that? Well, I have a desk calendar I like to keep track of things. A lot of it is just in my head, but I do also like to make lists…
I love to buy organizational gadgets and I’m always into them at first. But then I forget to use them. Sigh…

Obviously, I don’t spendnearly enough time at Starbucks! That’s the problem.
