I remember a blog!

Hey all! It’s been a few days…I hardly recognize the place.

Like I thought, November has turned into super crazy month for me, but I’m handling it all in stride. I’m actually quite surprised at how well i’m handling everything I have to do. It’s very much not like me, lol.

Anyway, last I saw you, I’d finished NaNo, going 11 words over 50,000. That’s still where I sit.

I did…other stuff…Friday (no, I don’t remember what exactly it was but I’m sure it was important).

Oh yeah, I did all my Turkey shopping and now have a full fridge. Though tonight we will be scavanging for food because I forgot to buy anything else that wasn’t for Thanksgiving. Oops.

Saturday we went bargain shopping, lol. We looked at (fake) Xmas trees at Kmart. Then actually bought one at Big Lots (don’t get me started on my love of Big Lots). It’s 6 1/2 feet gall and prelit. It’s a little skinny for my liking, but all the ones that were appropriate heights seemed extra skinny.

I’m hoping to have it up by next weekend.

Yesterday was a lazy Sunday. We didn’t leave the house except to get the paper and sweep the porch. I did a lot of reading for a contest and my house is now ready for guests.

Bring ‘em on (they arrive tomorrow).

So, what’d everybody else do this weekend?

I haven’t done my Thanksgiving grocery shopping yet. Suppose I’d better do that today, sigh.

As for what I did this weekend — I don’t have a clue (except going to see James Bond last night). It got away from me somehow. Wrote half as many NaNo words as I should have. I envy you being done. :D

Have great fun with your houseguests!

Last year we bought our (fake) tree late, like the week of Christmas. They were selling the floor display models in Target. DH got a $200+ tree, 7′ tall, wide, prelit, sparkly tips, for $70 because they wanted to sell quick and didn’t have the real box. :)
    I was proud of him!

Don’t even get me started on Big Lots. Whoever came up with that store should be enshrined.

I’m still in awe that you finished NaNo. I’m looking at my measly 20k words and wondering HOW? :-) But that’s cool that you’ll be able to enjoy the holiday with out that hanging over your head!

Watched the Colts lose their first game! LOL

Ahhhhh, I love Big Lots, we have that and a place called Ollie’s (like Big Lots) great deals on stuff you just don’t need! LOL

Glad you had fun and congrats again on finishing NaNo!

    With Love,
    Tara M.

I worked all weekend. Nothing too exciting. We went and watched a football game at my hubby’s cousins house too.
