What now?

To do today:
1. Jiffy Lube for oil change in car
2. Get sandwich stuff Costco - the only thing we’ll eat for the next week
3. Take stuff to Goodwill
4. Mail stuff at post office
5. Pack dishes & pots and pans

We’re actually too together and pretty much everything is packed.

There’s quite a bit of random stuff sitting around, stuff that got missed the first time around, but I’m gathering that into piles so it can all be packed together.

The dishes won’t be used again so those will get packed this afternoon (WOO HOO on no cooking for a week!). The non perishable foods will get packed tomorrow sometime. But that’s pretty much it.

The movers come on Thursday and I’m planning to go to my Maryland Romance Writer Meeting that evening. Crazy, perhaps, but I’ve been waiting for this meeting all year! Plus, it means I get a free pass from that whole constant togetherness thing.

Friday morning bright and early, it’s off to New York!

And through all of this, I even managed to write a little bit yesterday. It was only a few paragraphs, but it was something.

I wrote A Walk on the Wild Side through the move to Maryland two years ago so I know I can do it!

What about you? What are you working on now, and what is trying to keep you from it? (Notice I said trying because I know we all continue to work through it. :))

Well, I’m working on a novella I did a proposal on for Cobblestone. Life in general has hindered this story, so I started a BIAW yesterday and I wrote over 1800 words last night. Progress - yea!

Yeah, you guys sound super together for this move - so nice. I can’t stand moving, but I went through a stage where I was moving practically once a year, so I got pretty good at it.

Have fun at your chapter meeting and good luck on your writing! :)

I think pregnancy is preventing me from working on most things right now. I’m so drained.

When we moved last year, I loved getting the break from cooking. It was a great opportunity to try out a few new restuarants and stuff I wouldn’t otherwise! Have fun.

I’m working on a single title contemporary. Writing it out of order. SHOCK. And the only thing keeping me from writing is myself. Need more discipline. I’m getting there, but I still wish I wrote more pages a week.

Working? HA. I’ve been tormented with this stupid flu since Thursday and every time I try to think about writing my head starts to hurt. It really is like torture. So in my case, the WHAT has SUCCEEDED in keeping me from writing.

WTG on your writing progress! And good luck with the movers!

I’m starting a new wip and so far (knocks on some really hard wood) things are going smoothly. Give me a day, it may change ;-)

Good luck with the move. It seems like just yesterday that you blogged about it for the first time. Where did the time go???
