Personal Questions

Friday, August 11th, 2006

OK, this may get a little too personal. I’ll warn you about that up front.

Yesterday, while the hubster was skipping his second to last day of work to go play video games for 11 hours (he was with his boss though so it’s not like he’s going to get in trouble), I took the opportunity to clean out my dressers. Yes, two of them.

I have really no recollection of the closet space of the place we’re moving, too, but I’m going on the assumption that it’s smaller than what I have here.

I have one dresser that has all my “underclothes” and the other one has all my comfy clothes. Then there’s all the hanging stuff.

For someone who wears jammies most days - I have a lotta clothes.

But, I did manage to narrow it down quite a bit. Still…

I have lots of underwear. I think it comes from having worked at Victoria’s Secret, perhaps. But there’s the “everyday underwear” (I actually have first tear and second tear everyday underwear), the “certain pants need this kind of underwear” (not that I necessarily have those kinds of pants” and then the “fancy underwear” (for when I do fancy things - you know, never).

Still, I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of much underwear.

Then I moved onto the sock drawer. This is really where it gets out of control. I was afraid to count, but lets just say I have A LOT of socks. And very few of them are white. I have 14 pairs of Christmas socks (there’s only 12 days of Xmas), 6 pairs of Valentines socks and 3 pairs of Halloween socks. I have probably a dozen pairs of toe socks (a lot of those are holiday toe socks so they’ve already been counted).

Next was pants. Pants were the easiest thing for me to get rid of. Unforutnatly I ended up with 2 piles of “comfy pants” (one pile entirely in shades of pink and red) and only one pile of “real pants.”

And, I took out my painting shirts. We’ll be painting once we move and I have two shirts that really should have fallen apart years ago - they’re all holey and see through they’re so thin from being washed so many times. I’ve deemed them painting shirts and will officially get rid of them once the painting is finished. Getting rid of these tee shirts is like the end of an era!!

So, in all this yesterday, I realized that I really am crazy!!

But, we’re all crazy, right? What’s your favorite type of clothing to buy? Me, I love buying fun socks! What’s your favorite clothing item? Do you have a crazy amount of one thing?

Please tell me I’m not the only crazy one!
