A girl can never have too many shoes
We’re doing this packing thing kind of slowly. One because I don’t really want to live in a sea of boxes and two because everytime I put something in a box I end up looking for it. Plus, the hubster’s last day of work is this Friday and the movers aren’t coming until next Thursday so we have almost a week to pack pretty much 24 hours a day.
Still, I’m trying to pack the non-essentials as I have the free time.
Yesterday, I packed my shoes.
Now, since mostly women read this blog, I need your help. I need you to go to your closet and count your shoes (pairs of shoes). I need to prove to my husband that I don’t have too many shoes! That a girl can never have too many shoes!
I’d offer a giveaway for the person with the most pairs of shoes but all my giveaway stuff is packed up. No!! A free download of any book from my back list for the person with the most pairs of shoes. No lying just to get a free book!
So come on, make me feel not quite so bad (oh, and I’ll share my count tomorrow after I see everyone elses responses).

Way back when I was in college, I was a real shoes horse. It didn’t help that I worked at a Baker’s Shoe store, either. Now, I don’t have nearly the number of shoes as I used to–only about 18 pairs (includes dress and casual). :)

Ok, I counted (gulp). I have 50 freakin’ pairs of shoes! And I didn’t even count all of my flip flops so I bet the number is closer to 60!!! How embarrassing is that?
But I’ve always had a shoe fixation so I’m not that surprised. But 50+ pairs of shoes? For a woman who doesn’t even work outside of the house anymore? (some of these shoes are old work shoes I can’t part with)
I have a serious problem.

Shocking. I thought I had like 20 pairs. Nope. 43. Who knew? AND, I just threw out a bunch.
But that doesn’t beat Karen.

Oh boy - you TRULY do not want me to answer this one *grin* I’m a girl of economy. One pair of sandals, one pair of tenners, one pair of heels. Oh and I guess one pair of snowboots - we do live where we get snow. I wear the same flip flops day in and day out no matter what unless I think there’s going to be too much walking - then the tenners get put on. And well if I need to dress up — doesn’t happen much these day’s I have a pair of heels that work for just about anything. Or I can find a way to make them work. *grin* I have the same phylosphy for my make up and hair stuff and clothes. Simple easy and not many choices. Makes at least one part of my life easier!
I told you, you didn’t want me to answer this one! *grin*

Ooh, this is easy for me! *g*
One pair of Canadian Toe-Warmer boots which double as “mud” boots for my ATV, one pair of Nike sneakers, one pair of Teva Mush flip-flips, one pair of white Keds and one pair of navy pumps for funerals and weddings. Replace as needed.
That’s it. Shoes just don’t do it for me. Pens on the other hand…
