Love slave

So yesterday, I was taking our Aussie guest to the train station where he was headed off to Philidelphia, and then after taking the Hubster to work, I was running some errands.

One errand was the grocery store. Since I had talked about “refilling the well” and the door I went into the grocery store was by the book aisle, I decided to check out the book section at my local Safeway.

I was actually pretty impressed. They seemed to have an overabundance of Love Inspired, but they also had Blazes and Desires and Presents.

I wanted a long book that would take me most of the day to read. And while the category books tempted me, I knew they were short so wouldn’t take me that long to read. Plus, generally category books don’t end up on my keeper shelf and I really don’t want to more any more than absolutely necessary.

But it was really hard passing up this book, and a day later, I’m still kind of regretting it.

Love Slave to the Sheikh.

Oh my God I love that title. A part of me thinks that I should be really offended by it and say that’s the kind of thing that gives romance novels a bad name, but I totally LOVE it!

To the point where I think I’m going to rename all of my books “Love Slave to someone.”

One Hot Hour - Love Slave to the Sexy Construction Worker Across the Street.
Little Red - Love Slave to the Big Bad Wolf (don’t you think this would have sold so much better?)
Double Jeopardy - Love Slave to Sexy Twins (another bestseller!)

I’m totally going to have to go back to the grocery store in the next few days. Oh, and I just read the blurb on Amazon and the Sheikh is dying from a brain tumor!

I so want this book!!

Oh, and by the way, I ended up with Paid Companion by Amanda Quick. It was good.

What are you reading?

I just ordered a bunch of the new Blazes and I’m starting on those. A reward for the stressful week I’ve had (whew). I know I should be offended by those love slave titles, but they always kind of get me too. I love the way you changed all of your books to love slave titles! Mine would have to be: Love Slave to the IT Guy! LOLOLOL

I’m reading A Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I have the next book Voyageur, but I don’t know that I’m going to read the rest of this one or the next one. I just can’t seem to get into it like I did with Outlander

    Have you cooled down yet?

I think I’m one of those people who go around looking for good titles at least that’s how I determine what to find in the library anyways. I just started a Blaze I bought a couple months ago called Hot Spot. I’m liking it.

I admit it is the first time I actually read a Harlequin Presents Uncut because I prefer intrique/suspense/mystery, but I have to say - this was pretty hot.
