Heat, heat and more heat

So yesterday I had 12 comments (including my original post) about the crappy hot-ass weather.

Now, honestly here, raise your hand if you are the same people who would complain if it were 20 degrees and there were a foot of snow on the ground.

*Raises hand*

Yep, for some of us, mother nature is just never going to win.

Of course, give me 70-75 with a nice breeze blowing and I’m one happy girl! But if I have to put up with this heat, I need a beach with a breeze, a nice umbrella for shade, and a cute guy (or 3) to bring me all the margaritas I want.

They’ll do…

It’s hot out, so how about time for a contest - I’ll find something fun to giveaway (not sure what yet, but something summery for sure).

Leave a comment telling me your ideal hot summer day and I’ll pull a name out of a hat tomorrow morning for a winner.

Oh, and it’s official. I booked the mover this morning - they’re coming a month from yesterday!

*lol* I live in a tropical island, so I’ve to deal with hot weather all year long. Of course, summer is hotter than the rest of the year. If the temps drop below 80, it’s too cold for me. But anything over 100 and high humidity sucks too.

Congrats on moving and finding a mover by the way…

Ideal not so hot (ha ha) summer day. Well, it would only be about 80 degrees or so and I’d be on the coast of California - Carmel specifically. I would walk down Ocean Avenue with my well behaved children and my sweet husband, looking at all of the expensive shops. Wind up at the end of the road where the state beach is and let the kids play in the sand while I watch the ocean and stare at the beautiful outrageously expensive houses that sit along the sea.

After our fun in the sun we would load up, drive 10 minutes over to Monterey and eat dinner at Bubba Gumps while watching the dolphins swim in the ocean.

Man, that sounds fabulous! Monterey/Carmel is truly my favorite place to visit. I need to get back there big time. :)

For me the best temperature is around 70 degrees as I seem to get a headache if it is really hot out.
A walk by the water on the sand would be nice and then go to the beach store and buy homemade fish and chips and sit at an outside table with an umbrella and have the cool breeze blowing on us off the water. Oh, I can feel it now.
Are the movers doing the packing or do you have to? Have a great move!!!

A 75-78 degree day lounging on a comfy chair near the water with a good book and a tall, ever-cold, glass of ice tea and lemon….no, no, no, I remember on our honeymoon in Cuba there was this little stand on the beach that had the most awesome crushed ice strawberry drinks, yeah, that’s what I want.

Ideal summer day? Hmm…around 75 degrees, and me relaxing by the pool with an amazing romance novel and a cool watermelon margarita. In the background, 80’s music is playing. (specifically Vacation by the Go-Gos).

I love the hot weather and I try not to complain, but lately it’s been so muggy… :-(

Maybe if I wasn’t at work all day, maybe if I was at a pool with a cooler full of diet coke, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a book, I’d be able to handle the mugginess.
