Monday Forgetfulness

Monday, May 15th, 2006

I know I promised a post all about the Crusie/Mayer workshop, but I think I’ll have to postpone that a day (or two) as I catch up with other stuff.

First and most importantly (to me anyway) I have a release date for TEMPTING FATE!! It will be out May 23!! (Yes 8 days from now)!! YAY!!

Kaitlin reminded me that I never picked a winner from the questions I asked about promotion and stuff. Sorry about that, I swear my mind is like a sieve. I write everything down, but then 9 times out of 10 I lose the piece of paper. Anyway, in my very tecnical way of picking (writing everyones name down on the back of a reciept and then picking out of a cereal bowl) the winner is… April.

Congratulations April! You should get an email from me in the next few hours but if you don’t, well, it’s back to that sieve thing and it wasn’t anything personal.

Also, if you sent me your address wanting goodies - I have the evelopes partially stuffed, but the magnets I ordered (which look KICK ASS) are going to take longer than I thought. So I didn’t actually FORGET this time, I’m just waiting for more goodies.

If you’re into contests, my newsletter should go out today (read: sometime this week) and I’ll have two contests, celebrating the release of Tempting Fate (next Tuesday) and Double Jeopardy (sometime in the next month). If you’re not already a member of my newsletter group you can sign up on the side over there —>

Did I mention that I’m volunteering at BEA this week. Book Expo America is a HUGE publishing trade show thing. They contacted my local RWA chapter looking for volunteers and I’m so there. Unfortunatly it’s all day Friday & Saturday and most of the day Sunday. Ah well, who needs weekends? *whimper*

So, did anyone do anything fun this weekend? What are your plans for the week?

You already know I had a great workshop and then read Don’t Look Down (more on that tomorrow). My goals for this week are:

Finish Fighting Fate (first draft at least)
Finish Double Jeopardy edits
Prepare for MRW meeting on Thursday
Grocery Store
Costco
Make Shopping Lists
Plan meals for 2 weeks (this is so unlike me - planning anything, but it saves so much time during the weeks even though it takes several hours one day).

Here’s to a great week for all of us!
