Author Interview - Kayelle Allen
Kayelle writes sexy romantic suspense for Liquid Silver Books. I do have to reccommend that if you have a few hours to spare, take a trip over to her website and wander around, but beware, you could get lost! Still, it’s a very impressive site.
But for now, onto her questions..
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
I’d be one of those swirly ones that has a lot of colors because I wouldn’t want to be just one color all the time. I change. So would my color.
What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Dark chocolate with more chocolate inside it. I only buy the richest kind. If I’m craving rich taste, I won’t get it from the cheap stuff - so I buy it rarely but enjoy every single lick.
If you could be any animal, what would it be?
A cat, because my husband would pet me, love me, feed me, and not expect me to do a blamed thing. Gotta love it.
If you were a super hero what would your power be? What would you do with it?
I’d be FlashWoman - able to run faster than a bullet, and when I came to a stop, I’d be able to stop and eat whatever I want without gaining a single pound. I’d have a super fast metabolism and be able to get hundreds of things done in a day. Yeah. See that blur? That’s me. FlashWoman. Now disappearing around a corner near you.
Choose a word to describe a sunset. Why did you pick that word?
Apricot. Like a summer night, the color is warm, the taste is sweet, and the soft skin feels like the cooling air.
If someone were to make a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?
Someone beautiful, with natural grace and charm who looks good in everything she wears and is a true lady. In other words, someone totally unlike me. =^_^=
What’s your most embarassing moment?
While my family was crossing the street after church one evening, my husband and kids got ahead of me. When I reached the middle of the street, my heel caught in a small hole and I fell. I was so embarrassed that I just lay there for a moment, hoping no one would notice. But no… my four year old turned and saw me lying there and at the top of his lungs, yelled, “Mommy’s dead!” I was noticed all right. LOL
Is there a skill that you don’t have but wish you did?
I’d like to be able to write music. I can write lyrics - but I can’t sing worth a flip and have no idea how to write music.
If you had to choose from eternal youth, endless wealth and a year’s supply of dog food, which one would you pick?
I’d go with youth. I’m old enough to know money can’t buy everything. If I was eternally young, I’d be able to put money aside and save it over a long period. The dog food I could get anywhere - if I had a dog.
If you could obliterate the career of one musician, who would it be?
I would never do that. All music is a celebration to someone. I could never destroy someone’s joy. [Once again, note from Emma - I swear I didn’t invent this question and in the future it will be taken off interviews, but it may be coming up again as I have a lot completed but not posted yet. But please don’t think I’m a bad person for asking - it’s the ice breaker book, I swear it]
Kayelle currently has two books available from Liquid Silver Books. Both For Women Only and At the Mercy of her Pleasure are FAR Reccomended Reads and At the Mercy of her Pleasure was voted the Most Memorable Paranormal Romance of the Year by Enchanted in Romance. You can check out her books here.

Emma,
thank you for the opportunity to answer these questions - I totally enjoyed doing it.
Your question about wiping out a musician was quite a shocker - because it made me think. Mozart came to mind right away. He lived quite a difficult life due to a rival musician who wished to destroy him. I would leave the question on. You are likely to get some truly hysterically funny answers to it. Looking back, I think I could’ve safely said “Tiny Tim.”
