Is it just me?
What is it about hotels that make you feel so gross? It may be the forced air, but I live in an apartment building where I have the heat/air on pretty much year round so I don’t think that’s it.
It could be the thought of sleeping where so many people have slept before me, too. That is a little creepy when you think about what people have done in the bed that will be yours for a few nights. Ick.
As you can guess, I’m in Cleveland.
After driving for 7 hours yesterday (we left during rush hour, not a smart idea) we got here, checked into our hotel, only to realize we forgot our garmet bag that had DH’s suit for the rehersal dinner and my dress for the wedding. Oops.
Luckily the hubster is in the wedding so he has a rented tux to wear for that (rented clothes are another thing that I prefer not to think too much about).
But we still needed clothes for the rehersal dinner. And yay us, 40 minutes after realizing we forgot out clothes, we had new duds. God Bless Target! (I didn’t say they weren’t cheap clothes - you gotta do what you gotta do).
Today we’re going to go exploring our old stomping grounds. Should be fun!
Anybody have any big plans for the weekend?

Hi Emma! I had to laugh when I read about you guys forgetting some clothes - my hubby left on a business trip once and forgot the suitcase. Needless to say he had to buy the whole kit and kabootala - and business clothes are NOT cheap. Well, I just tried to pass it off as - you needed some new ones anyway.
My plans for the weekend are simple - survival. There’s soccer for both kids, first communion practice and pictures and then the actual event and the dinner/celebration… And somewhere in all of there… I am going to work on my book! My hubby has been informed of the fact I’ve been too busy the last couple of weeks to actually accomplish much, so he knows that any spare time… I’m going to be in the dungeon. *big sigh of relief here as, having him agree to it when he’s around is a BIG one, so I’m really, really pleased he didn’t frown too much. *grin*
Have a fun weekend!

Oh Emma. I LOVE hotels. I do. I don’t feel gross in them, I feel free! Sometimes, I just get a hotel room on my own, to write–swim–and watch movies without interruption.
No plans this weekend. Gonna write some and clean some. And hopefully do some yardwork, too.
Have a good time at the wedding!
