When does the To Do List end?

I actually got a fair bit accomplished yesterday. Yay for me.

I finished my edits, wrote Xmas thank you notes, did a few other chores that have been hanging over my head. You know, that kind of thing. I felt good about myself last night!

Of course there’s still a heck of a lot of stuff on my list that needs to be done.

I love lists.

Actually, that’s not true, I love CROSSING THINGS OFF lists. I’m the person who makes the list after the fact just so I can cross stuff off.

But there’s always stuff on a list that you can’t quite cross off. Like, as my ongoing resolution is still working, Cook Dinner is on the list. But I have to cook dinner every night so I won’t be able to cross it off until Thursday (I do Sun - Thurs, Hubster is responsible for Fri & Sat).

So it just sits there. Taunting me.

“Ha Ha, you can’t cross me off the list.”

Damn dinner. Damn list.

Lists can be your best friend or worst enemy.

Yay! for lists. Uh…I need to get one of those.

  3. Robyn Says:

LOL, I do the same. When I go to cross off ‘done’ things on my ToDo List
I’ll add something I did that was not on the list just so I can cross it off.
    I love lists.

I hear you on the dinner. It always hangs over your head, doesn’t it?

Tess - 9 times out of 10 they’re my worst enemy. They hang over my head but they do help me get things done. But I don’t have to like it.

Kendra - I have a pink wipeboard that I start fresh with every week. It matches the rest of my “office.”

    Robyn - Amen sister!!

Michelle - I’m so not a planner but I’ve been planning meals a week ahead and shopping from my list and it’s actually not so bad. God Bless Rachael Ray!

I knew there was a reason we had the same birthday! I love crossing stuff off lists, too. There’s such a sense of accomplishment in it.

Oh, I love lists. I love making them! I make a list practically every evening, for the next day. What happens? I get caught up in my day and only get half the stuff done, completely forgetting the actual list until that evening when I have to transfer the un-done stuff to a NEW list. Argh.

So, where’s the good news? You said hopefully tomorrow… I wanna know, I wanna know!
