Let it snow…

Monday, December 5th, 2005

It’s supposed to snow here in my neck of the woods today.

Snow’s supposed to roll in about noonish and it’s not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning when we have 4-6 inches.

My desk faces away from the window so it’s very difficult for me to not be staring out constantly, waiting desparately for that first flake.
And you can tell it’s serious because all of the news channels are promoting the snow with their special “Weather Coverage.”

It’s snow. It’s not like it won’t happen several times before spring comes rolling around, but most people still act like they’ve never seen it before. Like people are surprised that it gets cold here.

Guess what? It does it every year.

And then, living in (near) the Nation’s Capitol, theres an attitude like, “Mother Nature wouldn’t dare…” She dares every year. And every year the district and surrounding counties have some problems. I live in Prince Georges County which is directly east/northeast from DC. We have 1 snowplow.

But, whatever, I don’t want to talk about the bad part of snow. Instead, I’ll just sit and wait impatiently.

What are you gonna do today.
