Christmas TreeLess

So for some reason (he’s a big scrooge), The Hubster decided he didn’t want to get a Christmas tree this year.

To be fair, we didn’t have one last year, but at the time I was working at the retail job from hell and didn’t really notice because I was pretty much home to sleep and that was it. Although one weekend I did manage to decorate our laundry drying rack.

He says we don’t need one because we won’t be home on Christmas. Well but we’ll be home all the days around Christmas!! Anyway, for some strange reason, I let him win, even though I cooked his damn turkey and I still have a ton of leftovers in the fridge. If I ever see another turkey it’ll be too soon for me.

So, I’m Christmas TreeLess.

But, I’m certianly not decorationless. Yesterday I put all the lights up (inside, cause our apartment doesn’t really face anything). And on one wall I taped the lights up in the shape of a Christmas tree. So, now I have a tree.

All I need is something playing really annying Christmas music and I’ll never have to be TreeLess again!!

What’s your favorite decoration?

The one Christmas decoration that I have that gives me a little thrill is an ornament that my mom got when I was a little girl. It’s got my name etched into it and it just gives me warm fuzzies every year.

The other one is a Santa figurine my brother gave me one year. He thought I’d hate it, but it’s beautiful. Siblings can be so weird sometimes.

I presume you’ll be decorating the drying rack again this year, that was one of your coolest decorations!!!
