30 days hath…November
I was totally confused for a minute. I have one of those big desk calendars where you have to fill in your own dates and I’d made November have 31 days. Oops. Luckily I managed to get December right.
Because I have nothing better to blog about today I figured I’d make myself a list of the things I need to get done before the end of the year. I love lists. I wouldn’t exactly call these goals, just things that really need to get done. I don’t like goals. Goals you can fail at. Things on a list you just don’t get crossed off.
This week
Finish short story (needs about 3–5000 words but I know exactly where I’m going and with a little luck will finish today).
Work on short story/novella (I’m not really sure if this one will be a short story or a novella or something else yet. Needs work).
Finish revisions and submit (I thought I was finished with revisions but turns out I’d only done chaps 1-3, darn it!)
Finish one knitting project and start another (then go to craft store for more yarn.)
Oh, who am I kidding. I can’t think any farther than that. So, here’s my Wednesday morning list. What’s yours?

Dude, you are soooo an overachiever. List of things to do tomorrow:
1. Remember to bring juice and food to MOPS tomorrow.
2. Wake up in time to go to MOPS tomorrow. (Is it me, or is it completely unreasonable to expect a person to be conscious at 9 am?)
3. MOPS
4. Remember to leave MOPS early enough tomorrow to go through the drive through at Wendys so child can have lunch before school
5. Take child to school
6. Find something useful to do with myself while child is in school… will it be cleaning up more puke or doing more laundry or catching up on work, or maybe I’ll just say “To heck with it” and take a nap.
7. Pick child up from school
8. It would probably be a good idea to go to the grocery store, since the only thing in the house is Thanksgiving leftovers, which makes my stomach heave since our family illness began with Thanksgiving.
9. At some point, I will feed my children. They get really cranky when I don’t.
10. Somewhere in there, I really need to get some work done.
11. Put baby down for nap. During nap, either get work done that I didn’t accomplish while small child was in school or take a nap myself.
12. Remember to put in tape for Alias, CSI and without a Trace.
Man, my day is going to be exhausting…

Wow, see, I was just ignoring all that stuff I have to do. Like grocery shopping - ick.
Of course, assuming I want to eat something more thank turkey in the forseeable future I better add that to my list.
