Being home

We went to see my Brother In Law off to sea yesterday (actually we spent a few days in Norfolk). This is the USS Oscar Austin, leaving the pier in Norfolk and heading towards the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel for open water.

Now, I’ve got another 7 whole days before I have to go away AGAIN (this time back to my Mom’s for a wedding). Sheesh, I’m tired of not sleeping in my own bed.

I like being home.

And when I’m home I like not leaving the house. I mean, sometimes I like to go to the mall or something, but all in all, I thinkI could very easily become a hermit.

It wasn’t like this when I lived in Seattle. I liked being outside in Seattle, probably because it was so pretty there, much more laid back and some really freaking nice weather.

Going outside here lately practically suffocates you it’s so darn hot and humid. And the parks are kind of sketchy, not fun and happy. And the malls are always really crowded. So, I prefer to sit inside, with my air conditioning on, being a hermit.

There’s nothing wrong with that, right? It gives me more time to write (excuse me while I laugh now).

Also, don’t forget to check out the auction to benefit Larissa. There’s some good stuff being auctioned and it gives me the warm fuzzies every time the romance community bands together like this.

I’d love to be a hermit too. I only get out during school hours. Sometimes after that for the kids, but only for them. I’d rather be inside at my house with everyone leaving me alone:wink:

I’m a hermit too… There is nothing like the comfort of my own home.

I’m a homebody. Love to be home. Well, I have to go out for the pesky day job. And to drive my youngest all around. But I’d rather be home. Yes, you’re right. It gives me more time to write too…

I’m a homebody! I like coming home and vegetating after work. I also like going out when I get the chance, but those times are few and far between.
