A rather short post
Can anyone tell me what a Hollaback Girl is? Is it something I should aspire to? I tried watching the teen choice awards last week and had to turn it off rather quickly when I had no idea what in the hell anyone was talking about.
When did I get so darn old? Blech.
As for the good news that I was teasing about…I sold a short story to Venus Press. I don’t have any more information than that since the contract is sitting on my desk waiting to be mailed.
And my cover for Little Red is absolutely gorgeous. The artist is still making a few minor tweaks, but hopefully I’ll be able to post it for you tomorrow.

A Hollaback Girl, is someone that has a “girl fight” with words. ya know when a few catty women start yellin in the parking lot of a bar making asses of themselves? Well its like that. With the song she is saying she will not “hollaback” she will get to it..take care of buisness..”throw down” and I know this..because I have a 16yr old son *who thought teenagers was a good idea?* and he informed me recently. Makes no sense to me, but hey…little teenage lingo does. Now I feel old *snort*

Oh I am so glad to see this… I actually googled the lyrics because for the longest time, me (and apparently the radio listeners in denver) thought it was Harlem Bat Girl. I figured the song was about cheerleaders fighting, so knowing what exactly a hollaback girl is makes so much sense.
