DMV or BUST

Well, I busted. Turned out I didn’t have the appropriate paperwork so I have to call my bank in Washington (the one that holds my loan) and have stuff sent to the MD MVA (yeah, like that makes me feel comfortable). But basically what all of this means? I’ll get to experience yet another trip to the MVA/DMV.

But, I figured I should also tell you about the cool stuff I’m giving away this week. So, like I said, at the end of the week I’ll put names in a hat for those people that comment (up to one chance per day) and pick one!

The winner will get an assortment of summer smelling goodies from Bath & Body Works. A 10oz bottle of Apple Martini Body Lotion (smells so good I wish I could drink it), a 2oz tube of Lemongrass Sage Anti-bacterial Body Lotion (one of my favorite scents), a small
Cotton Blossom Home Spray, and (in honor of my new template) a Sparkling Melon sunscreen Lip Balm.

So, to make things easier (since I love giving presents), I’ll leave you with some questions. What’s the best present you’ve ever given? Received? Are you a present shaker or do you like to be surprised?

The best present I’ve ever given was the book I gave my dad for Father’s Day this year. It had places where you could write little messages and stuff and I put a lot of thought into it. When I handed it to him at the restraunt yesterday, I handed him a napkin and he said “am I gonna cry?” And I said he might because I’d cried when I’d written it. He got about halfway thru and he’s like “I ain’t cryin,” and by the time he was done his eyes were definitely squirting some tears. My dad just isn’t an emotional guy, so it was really special.

Best gift I ever recieved… my college education from my mom and dad.

When I was little not only did I shake, I would unwrap and rewrap. I know. To hell on the bullet train.

    Luv

The best present I ever received…I don’t know. I’m extremely corny and have to say love.

A close second by my laptop from Kevin !

I’m not really a shaker. Honestly, I appreciate every gift.

Hi! Firstly, just wanted to tell you how much I like your new blog. Very cool & summery.

The best gift I ever received, other than stuff from parents/family, was a blue teddy bear from my first boyfriend. It holds a lot of sentimental value to me.

The best gift I’ve ever given? Hmm…well, I think it was letter I gave my aunt the day she got married. We don’t have the greatest of relationships, so I thought this letter might help. I pretty much told her that I loved her, that I wished her and her new husband nothing but happiness, and all that mushy stuff. LOL! She cried.

As for gift shaker? Not really. I like being surprised. The only time I’ve ever been tempted to sneak a peek at a gift was when I was ten. I got this giant box, but wasn’t allowed to open it until I got home from school. When I got home I could barely contain myself. I opened it up and found nothing but Barbie stuff. Clothes, furniture, the whole nine yards. My mom had found a lady who hand-made Barbie clothes. Hands down the best gift a girl could get.

Okay, I’m late but I still want to answer! The best present I ever received was my engagement ring. Michael proposed on Christmas evening a few years ago. He knows I like to shake presents so he took the ring box, placed it in a bigger box (I thought it might be a music box. LOL) and weighed it down with my manatee statue (quite heavy). I really had no idea what it was. It weighed a ton. I opened the top and out popped this little white ring box. I was like, cute, go bought me jewelry. Well, I opened it and saw the diamond and was dumbfounded. I was like…”this isnt’ what I think it is.” Then he proposed. How sweet! Since then, he always wraps presents in unusual boxes so I can’t figure out what it is. I just hate that! But I kinda love it too.
